Residents of Kafranbel protest HTS after two opposition activists are killed

BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:30 P.M.) - Residents of the Idlib Governorate town of Kafranbel protested the presence of Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham, opposition activists reported via social media.

According to the reports, the residents of Kafranbel demanded Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham leave the town after they were blamed for killing two opposition activists.

Among the activists killed was the leader of the Kafranbel protests, Raed Fares; his signs criticized the Syrian government and were often shared on social media.

Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham has been accused of carrying out the killings of Fares and another opposition activist over the weekend.
