Question time - Unstaking and airdrops

I am in a bit of a quandary. I have most of my Leo in my main account but would like to use this @ammonite.leo account for all things Leo Finance related into the future. I have had everything staked and delegated across but have had to first undelegate, which takes several days and then unstake, which again takes several days to get in on the LBI game. At these moments of undelegating and powerdown my LEO becomes unusable for curating and scarier still I don't know what would happen to the tokens within this holding pattern if an airdrop decides to drops at that moment.

So my question is. Is it better to hold off and wait till Airdrops are announced and just delegate to this account until the dust settles? This also begs the question, if tokens are delagated from one account to another which would receive the airdrops?
