Gratitude challenge 43/62: WORLD CUP

Hello great steemians and active participants in the gratitude challenge tag with @tojukaka, it's @amikable here usual today my gratitude post is gonna be purely for my loyalty to the game, mind you not just any game but the game of football 😅.

I am happy to witness the 2018 world cup that occurs once every 4 years, and this year since the start of the world cup I have being lucky to watch almost all the matches played. Honestly so far so good the game has being breath taking, suspense field and full of surprises. Right from the start of the competition the under dogs have being seriously lashing out on the big names on football, and I must confess the World Cup is really worth the four years wait . Some examples of some shocking full time scores are; Japan winning over Colombia (Japan is the first Asian country to win over a South American country after 18 encounters)
Iceland holding Argentina to a draw
Mexico narrowly edging out Germany (the current champions)
And finally our very own Senegal win over Poland (creating a record of the only African team to have won their first game in this world cup).
This shows that almost all countries stepped up their game in terms of training, preparation level and are not willing to give up so easily. Truth be told it's not an easy fit to face so many opposition from your continent and still qualify for this tournament.

As of the time of making this post,

Egypt and Saudi Arabia has crashed out of group A having lost 2 games already

The two teams that advance to the knockout stages from the group are Russia the hosts and Uruguay both teams having a total of 6 points.

With the way the tournament is going I feel there are still more shockers to come let's keep our fingers crossed.
I just want to inform you guys out there that are not fans of football that you guys are really missing out on a game so special and that you should try watching a football game on television trust me you won't regret it 😎😎
