Hello beautiful members of the community.

It's an exciting new week and I'm so grateful to be alive.

Sometimes, we plan, but life has other plans. However, we can only do our best.

I made plans to make an African bubu for my client, embellishing it with a pearl bead, but life happened. I was caught up with the ups and downs of life and then I couldn't embellish it before the delivery date.

I was so glad that my client was one of the understanding ones and gave me extra time to finish up.

As we speak, I'm currently embellishing it, but I thought of sharing the outfit this way.

Madam Sarah, walked in my office last week. She brought a very fancy African print and chose something classy.

She's in her fifties and wanted to look elegant for her grand child's dedication which will be held on the 10th of October.

She wanted a bubu with a standing collar and I delivered.

I folded the fabric into four and made a cut. I stitched around the sides and joined the long wide strap I cut for the collar.

After which, I attached the plain dull face on the chest area as seen in the picture.

I was meant to have embellished the plain part but, I already explained. Things didn't go as planned.

I have today to do the bead work, so I can deliver it Tomorrow. It's such a fun outfit to make, no stress.

I love how I was able to cut it in patterns, leaving the sleeve looking stylish with a touch of red.

I have a similar fabric, I'll probably make a dungarees with mine, when I'm less busy.
