Feeling like a fool

I am a 38 years old woman who is completely blind to trickery, and I get bamboozled a lot, I don't know how to read people, and therefore I just blindly go along with whomever I'm speaking to. I must say that I am in no way stupid, I've been tested, and my IQ is above average, so why can't I see when people are being fake or lying to me?
What is it about me that makes it okay for people to lie and trick me? I feel like a simpleton that should not interact with others in any shape or form. Maybe I should just stick to the things that make sense to me, artwork, household chores and trying to be a good wife.
My husband @Eythorphoto is a brilliant man and I love him more each and every day. I think it's best to start reading and learning about people before interacting with these strange creatures.
