Norway flew almost 600 bombing strikes in Libya based on zero firsthand intelligence
So, Norway flew almost 600 bombing strikes in Libya, based on zero firsthand intelligence, but relying instead on "the media and foreign nations" - the leader of NATO, I suppose.
But that's what treaty nations are supposed to do, right? When one goes to war, all the nations in the treaty go to war.
This was the kind of thing that the UN was supposed to prevent.
But then again, when you have a monster tyrant oppressing his own people, you need to go bomb him to smithereens.
Only, again it's been proven that many of those accounts of tyrannical rule were made up. Again, the nation has been destroyed, destabilised and left to warring factions to spoil.
I've seen this happen so many times that somewhere in 2016, I began thinking, "How could they keep making the same mistake again and again? Maybe it's not a mistake but a strategy? Hmm..."
(I'm late to the party, I know.)
