Learning to Explore Blockchain

Hello Cryptoworld,

Today is Saturday, February 15, 2025. I am taking a few minutes to learn more about exploring the blockchain, thanks to the course "Mastering Web3" offered by Nicosia University. I have mentioned this course in a previous post titled Unlock the Future with UNIC MOOC: Mastering Web3.

It took me some time to understand the exercise, but I'm sharing the steps I followed.

There are five questions, but I will only share the process for the first one. Once you grasp the dynamic, it becomes easier to understand the subsequent ones, even if the prompts change.

As the exercise asked for block #478559, it took me a moment to navigate to the next block. I explored the information regarding this block and looked at the current, previous, and next blocks, but none matched the answer.

Then I clicked on "Next Block," which brought me to block #478560. Upon seeing this block number, I felt I was on the right track to find the answer. I explored the current block again, but the answer didn't match, so I compared it to the previous block—and voilà, it matched! Once I identified the answer, I understood that it was the first block mined after the Bitcoin Cash hard fork.
