Iridescent Runemancer Kye

Muy buenas noches amigos! Hoy estoy muy feliz de compartir con ustedes un dibujo que casi me cuesta la vida literalmente jajaja, tenia muchas ganas de volver a recrear a Runemancer Kye y se me ocurrió cambiar el vestuario por completo, inspirándome en tonalidades iridiscentes que me gustan mucho, quería ese efecto como holográfico en la ropa y cola y a la vez que pareciera una tela con mucho glitter. Me pareció una idea interesante y realmente quedo como esperaba, aunque en el proceso me dio migraña, lo cual me causo un malestar terrible durante todo el día de hoy que llego incluso a las nauseas y a no poder mantenerme demasiado tiempo de pie, aun asi mantuve la fuerza para terminarlo y ya después descansar y sentirme mejor, creo que hoy me presione demasiado por que quería terminarlo y además tenia muchas ganas de que quedara perfecto, justo como lo imaginaba y aun asi me faltaron algunos detalles que dibuje en el boceto y a penas ahora mismo me estoy dando cuenta jajajaa, en fin, igual me gusto bastante y espero que a ustedes tambien les guste.

Today I am very happy to share with you a drawing that almost cost me my life literally hahaha, I really wanted to recreate Runemancer Kye and I thought of changing the costume completely, inspired by iridescent shades that I really like, I wanted that holographic effect in the clothes and tail and at the same time it looked like a fabric with a lot of glitter. I thought it was an interesting idea and it really turned out as I expected, although in the process I got a migraine, which caused me a terrible discomfort throughout the day today that even led to nausea and not being able to stand up for too long, even so I kept the strength to finish it and then rest and feel better, I think today I pushed myself too much because I wanted to finish it and also I wanted it to be perfect, just as I imagined it and even so I missed some details that I drew in the sketch and just now I'm realizing hahaha, anyway, I still liked it a lot and I hope you like it too.

Este boceto lo comencé ayer en la noche, desde un inicio sabia que quería que fuese muy colorido pero a la vez usando mayormente tonalidades frías que son mis favoritas, me costó muchísimo estar conforme con el boceto hice varios cambios pero al final me gusto y comencé a pintar la piel, aplique un lila oscuro de base y luego empecé a dar luces y sombras usando morado oscuro y otros mas claros, en una nueva capa añadí más de estas tonalidades para formar mejor cada parte del rostro, cuerpo y músculos del brazo, empecé a mezclar los colores hasta tener una piel realista, luego agregue color base a la ropa, comenzando por el top.

I started this sketch last night, from the beginning I knew I wanted it to be very colorful but at the same time using mostly cold tones that are my favorite, it was very hard to be satisfied with the sketch I made several changes but in the end I liked it and I started to paint the skin, I applied a dark lilac as a base and then I started to give lights and shadows using dark purple and other lighter ones, in a new layer I added more of these shades to form better each part of the face, body and arm muscles, I started to mix the colors until I had a realistic skin, then I added base color to the clothes, starting with the top.

El top lo pinte de un azul verdoso oscuro y uno más claro para la cola, luego empecé a añadir más tonalidades jugando muchísimo con rosas, morados, azules e incluso verde, dibuje varios puntos pequeños de diferentes colores para darle ese efecto de glitter, para el cabello coloque un rojo oscuro de base y luego añadí iluminaciones para darle forma, después pinte las alas y el accesorio de la cabeza, tambien pinte estas escamas azules claras en el rostro y brazos, algunas en la cola con un azul rey.

I painted the top in a dark greenish blue and a lighter one for the tail, then I started to add more shades playing a lot with pinks, purples, blues and even green, I drew several small dots of different colors to give that glitter effect, for the hair I put a dark red base and then added highlights to give it shape, then I painted the wings and the head accessory, I also painted these light blue scales on the face and arms, some on the tail with a royal blue.

Para el fondo quise simular el fondo del mar, por lo cual use diferentes tonos de azules y varias pinceladas, quise dibujar algunas rocas en frente donde apoyaría su mano, después añadí iluminaciones en partes del rostro y cuerpo que quería resaltar y finalmente edite la imagen sutilmente, aumentando la saturación de los colores y dándole mas profundidad.

For the background I wanted to simulate the bottom of the sea, so I used different shades of blue and several brushstrokes, I wanted to draw some rocks in front where she would rest her hand, then I added lights in parts of the face and body that I wanted to highlight and finally I subtly edited the image, increasing the saturation of the colors and giving it more depth.
