FX effects tutorial (beating)

Buenas noches a todos. El maquillaje de efectos especiales siempre ha sido de mis favoritos, sin embargo, a veces no contamos con todas las herramientas necesarias para hacer este estilo de maquillaje que es tan famoso en películas, series, etc. Hoy quise realizar un maquillaje simulando golpes alrededor de mis ojos usando únicamente sombras de ojos, los colores que se necesitan para recrear un golpe suelen ser rojo, azul, amarillo y un poco de beige, aunque eso depende de que tipo de golpe sea y cuanto tiempo “lleve el golpe en la piel” es algo difícil lograr un acabado realista sin exagerar y que termine siendo una simple mancha que no tiene forma, aun asi intente hacerlo lo mejor posible, espero que les guste.

Special effects makeup has always been one of my favorites, but sometimes we don't have all the tools we need to do this style of makeup that is so famous in movies, TV shows, etc. Today I wanted to do makeup simulating bruises around my eyes using only eyeshadow. The colors needed to recreate a bruise are usually red, blue, yellow, and a little beige, although that depends on the type of bruise and how long it has been on the skin. It is difficult to achieve a realistic finish without exaggerating and ending up with a simple stain that has no shape. Even so, I tried to do my best. I hope you like it.

Antes de comenzar quise aplicar corrector y base en el rostro para mejor pigmentación de las sombras, tambien quise darle forma a mis cejas usando gel marrón oscuro. Para comenzar a darle forma a estos golpes tome sombra de ojos roja y una brocha para difuminar, aplique el color de una forma sutil en la zona de las ojeras, luego aplique un poco de azul para profundizar el golpe en la zona del lagrimal. Utilicé beige y amarillo en las zonas donde no esta rojizo ya que los golpes suelen verse con esta tonalidad amarillenta, tambien aplique un poco de morado en la nariz y luego aplique labial liquido rojo justo en la parte del lagrimal para enrojecer mejor esa área y además darle un brillo natural.

Before starting, I wanted to apply concealer and foundation to my face for better pigmentation of the shadows. I also wanted to shape my eyebrows using dark brown gel. To start shaping these bruises, I took red eyeshadow and a blending brush, applied the color subtly to the under-eye area, then applied a little blue to deepen the bruise in the tear duct area. I used beige and yellow in the areas where there is no redness, as bruises tend to have a yellowish hue. I also applied a little purple to the nose and then applied red liquid lipstick right on the tear duct area to better redden that area and give it a natural shine.

Continue intensificando las zonas rojas y tambien expandí un poco más las zonas amarillas, con el mismo labial rojo que utilicé antes maquille el pómulo y la ceja izquierda, para mis labios tambien quise hacer una herida en forma de cortada colocando sombra de ojos roja en combinación con un poco de negro y tambien agregue una tenue sombra azul alrededor de los labios. Finalice aplicando sombra roja intensa en la linea de agua para que el ojo tuviese un aspecto mas rojizo y realista.

Continue intensifying the red areas and also expand the yellow areas a little more. Using the same red lipstick I used before, I applied makeup to the cheekbone and left eyebrow. For my lips, I also wanted to create a cut-shaped wound by applying red eyeshadow combined with a little black, and I also added a faint blue shadow around the lips. I finished by applying a deep red shadow to the waterline to give the eye a more reddish, realistic look.

Enrojecí un poco mi ojo derecho moviendo mi lente de contacto por el bien de las fotos jaja, no me lastime, pero no lo intenten en casa.

I slightly reddened my right eye by moving my contact lens around for the sake of photos haha, it didn't hurt me but don't try it at home.
