Dark Arborist

Muy buenas noches amigos, para esta semana quise hacer un dibujo con temática de fantasía para mi entrada al concurso de @Splinterlands y creo que la carta de Dark Arborist era perfecta para esta idea que tenia en mente, estas ultimas semanas he realizado Fan art de cuerpo completo pero esta vez quería un retrato es por eso que me puse manos a la obra y empecé a desarrollar mi idea, quise representar a esta carta en versión femenina usando una paleta de colores bastante fría, pinte los labios de azul, uñas oscuras y una nariz un poco ancha pero no demasiado, cabello claro con azul turquesa y por supuesto que no podía faltar la cabeza en forma de hongo, no saben lo mucho que disfrute haciendo este dibujo ya que tiene colores muy bonitos y además de que trabaje en modo retrato que es lo que mas me gusta hacer, espero que les guste esta versión.

Very good evening friends, for this week I wanted to do a fantasy themed drawing for my entry to the @Splinterlands contest and I think the Dark Arborist card was perfect for this idea I had in mind, these last few weeks I have done full body Fan art but this time I wanted a portrait that's why I got down to work and started to develop my idea, I wanted to represent this card in female version using a pretty cool color palette, I painted the lips blue, dark nails, a nose a little wide but not too much, light hair with turquoise blue and of course I could not miss the mushroom shaped head, you do not know how much I enjoyed making this drawing because it has very nice colors and also that I worked in portrait mode which is what I like to do, I hope you like this version.

Realice mi boceto añadiendo cada detalle que se me ocurría, el vestuario lo cambie un poco pero al final me gusto como quedo, empecé a pintar el fondo con tonos azules y morados, después coloque colores base en la ropa y el gorro de hongo, empecé a pintar la piel añadiendo luces y sombras, en una nueva capa fui agregando mas colores para formar por completo el rostro, luego empecé a mezclar estos colores con el pincel difuso y una opacidad media dejando asi una piel suave, tambien empecé a pintar la ropa, en esta oportunidad use azul muy oscuro y luego unos detalles en verde oliva, simulando un poco el diseño original.

I made my sketch adding every detail I could think of, the costume I changed it a little but at the end I liked how it was, I started to paint the background with blue and purple tones, then I put base colors on the clothes and the mushroom cap, I started to paint the skin adding lights and shadows, in a new layer I added more colors to completely form the face, then I started to mix these colors with the diffuse brush and a medium opacity leaving a soft skin, I also started to paint the clothes, this time I used very dark blue and then some details in olive green, simulating a little bit the original design.

Después de tener el rostro listo, me encargue de las manos, siempre me gusta trabajar las manos aparte porque son demasiado complicadas de pintar, me llevo bastante tiempo hasta conseguir unas manos lo suficientemente realistas para este dibujo, después empecé a pintar el cabello con tonos muy claros y dándole forma ondulada, continue pintando la demás prendas del vestuario y luego empecé a enfocarme en la cabeza de hongo para el cual utilice diferentes tonos de azul dándole asi luces y sombras que pudiesen resaltar los pliegues, luego pinte la parte superior usando azul oscuro e iluminando las esquinas con morado y en la otra azul claro, añadí puntos de color turquesa por toda la parte superior del hongo y les agregue luz, finalmente edite la imagen buscando darle ese toque de profundidad que me gusta en mis dibujos donde los colores se ven un poco mas intensos y el ambiente mas oscuro.

After having the face ready, I took care of the hands, I always like to work the hands apart because they are too complicated to paint, it took me a long time to get the hands realistic enough for this drawing, then I started to paint the hair with very light tones and giving it a wavy shape, I continued painting the other garments of the costume and then I started to focus on the mushroom head for which I used different shades of blue giving it lights and shadows that could highlight the folds, then I painted the upper part using dark blue and illuminating the corners with purple and the other light blue, I added turquoise dots all over the upper part of the mushroom and added light, finally I edited the image looking to give it that touch of depth that I like in my drawings where the colors look a little more intense and the environment darker.
