Roasting coffee at home for a week1

gm coffee lovers from all over the world!

I spend most of my days working at a recording studio making jingles, voiceovers and podcasts. But my brother in-law's coffee business needed a place to work for a couple of weeks because their new place is not ready to be moved into and their old place's lease is already up. So we're going to be roasting coffee in the live session room for a week or two.

Today they brought all the equipment. This is an itty bitty roaster for small, custom made samples. Let's say a client asks for a particularly dark roast, you can make him 1 pound's worth in here and see if he likes it. If it's not what he's looking for, you just tweak the settings and try again without making an entire batch.

If it's what he was looking for, you can roast about 50 lbs of coffee beans in the bigger one:

Took a peak inside to see what it looks like when coffee is roasting. See the flames?

There's two grinders. This one here:

And this one for larger quantities:

The smell from the coffee roasting is absolutely delicious! It starts at 9:00 am And as you might imagine, there's coffee brewing all day long ๐Ÿ˜„, so all you have to do is walk up to the "coffee area" and help yourself to an amazing cup of premium joe.

Unfortunately, we won't have these coffee privileges for long, only a couple of weeks until they get settled into their new place. Too bad. I could definitely get used to this โ˜•๏ธ
