Periods in periodic table

I am going to describe the important topic of chemistry i.e periods in the periodic table.

The arrangements of elements in horizontal rows of periodic tables are called periods.

• First period is called short period .It consist of only two elements.
• 2nd & 3rd periods are called normal periods .it consists of eight elements each.
• 4th & 5th periods consists of 18 elements each and are called long periods.
• 6th and 7th periods are called very long periods .It consist of 32 elements each .
• 7th period is incomplete .
