Most likely, and even though the soil is contaminated, food is still being produced on a large scale, which is why the immediate response of those who do not respect nature is that soil contamination is not really a food security problem, because they do not stop to think for a moment, but nevertheless, food production levels are deteriorating as pollution from large discharges of chemicals from human activity is on the rise.
Remember that the soil is in effect the skin of the planet, and in truth, the product of so much pollution is like a scarred mantle.
The most recent wounds that have been inflicted on soils, both by man and by natural phenomena, show that soil contamination really is a food security problem for the entire food chain.
