Traditional Wood Fire Cooking #29: Tinolang Tahong (Mussels Soup)

About this video

This video showcases the Filipino Traditional way of cooking using a wood stove. This video showcases "Tinolang Tahong" (Mussels Soup). Many believe that cooking with wood adds more tastiness to the dish as it is very natural instead to using a gas stove. The woods that were used in this cooking video is from the former small forest of my father which I used to roam and hunt for wild fruits and wild roots crops when I was young.

About Tinolang Tahong

Tinalong Tahong is one of the most popular dishes here in our country. It is actually a seafood soup dish using mussels. It is also one of the easiest and quickest dishes to prepare and cook. Tinalong Tahong is mostly cooked and served for lunch but once in a while it is also served during dinner but here in our country, we prefer it served during lunch. This is a very tasty dish and is easily one of my favorites.
That is all for now guys, catch you up with the next one. Wishing you all safety, good health, and abundance.
