Some more work done ....

Back to the Garden

This project I took on with my son, and has ended up being quite the experience. A nice workout and bonding time, something we didnt have so much of before he moved in with me.
As we remove more dirt we keep needing to find more place to put it. here I started by creating a bedding against the wall.

Started packing logs to hold the new soil back.... the idea is just to raise this area a bit, almost lvl with the drain system...

as can be seen here everything sticks out the ground and is just an obsticle..

still loads to go to get it all lvl at the bottom...

slowly slowly.... but through teamwork, switching roles of bucket filler and carrier, to having races on who can take the most buckets up the hill, we move forward in the project.. Dad has to take the big buckets though.

eventually the whole area will be raised a bit and we will plant new grass....
mango tree in the back still has to get trimmed down, had no fruit last year...

breathing new life into the area as the top sections grass is starting to grow, we also moved some of our Jalapeno Pepper Bushes to line the area, barrel cacti have been planted in the tops of the tires...
