Que pesado resulta tu anhelo
buscando la forma de elevarte a los cielos
no hay espacio en la tierra para tu sueño
de rozar alturas de terciopelo

Quieres peinar al sol con tus plumas postizas
alcanzar las estrellas con las manos
y lucir de adorno la estela de las brisas
venidas del oriente en rituales arcanos

la obstinación que abrazas es tan ligera
incluso que tú más arriba llega
se convierte en orgullo vano
y te traerá de bruces más por malas que por buenas

Ciertamente lograste alto vuelo
y por no oír la razón ignoraste el pacto
que hizo tu raza con la tierra
de bendecir a cada paso que pisa el suelo

How heavy is your longing
looking for a way to soar to the heavens
there is no room on earth for your dream
of brushing velvet heights.

You want to comb the sun with your false feathers
reach for the stars with your hands
and wear as an ornament the wake of the breezes
coming from the east in arcane rituals

the obstinacy you embrace is so light
even that you reach higher
becomes vain pride
and will bring you on your face more for bad than for good

Certainly you achieved high flight
and for not listening to reason you ignored the pact
