Behold the "tent light". At least that's what the brand called it in their original communication. It's basically a retractible string with led lights on it. It's about 10m long and has many lighting modes including lamp and SOS.

I can imagine this could be quite fun to use in other scenarios, including at Christmas for seasonal decorations, even though it was designed for indoor camping use. I was actually considering using this as background lighting for my YouTube videos, but I've seen found another, more appropriate, light that I had but had misplaced for years. I moved some wardrobes around today and, lo and behold, there it was wedged between the wardrobe and the wall, covered months of dust and cobwebs.

The "game changing" feature is its ability to retract, hereby keeping the whole setup very tidy. One of the reasons why I don't like string lights much is the chaos that ensues when one tries to put it back in its box. They can somehow never return to anything near their initial state. This changes that.

It's not weather resistant enough to make it a true outdoor light. It can withstand some drizzling or occasional splash but heavy rain would ruin it. It also cannot be submerged. However it is marketed as an "in tent" light, so I guess that's ok.
