Project Details

Node.js is an open-source, designed to build internet applications that are highly scalable, especially servers. Node.js uses Chrome’s V8 engine supported by JavaScript, also written by C++.
Node.js found in 2009 by Ryan Lienhart Dahl.

Although Node.js has developed quite recently, but it has quickly become one of the platforms much loved by developers.

By translating this project into Vietnamese, my humble purpose is to make Nodejs accessible to Vietnamese developer community, and I think the first step is to do the translation.
Even though I’m not a programmer, but I’ve spent days to understand Node.js and coding terms so that I can interpret it as most accurate as possible.

Translation Overview

Node.js translation project is currently being translated by 142 contributors in over 30 languages. There are more than 1 million words to translate.
In part 1 of my translation, I started with _toc.md and addons.md. I translated the main terms that are used in the platform. addons.md explains what are addons in Node.js, their usages and how to create a simple addon “Hello world”.
In this contribution, there are many strings, technical words are not supposed to be translated, so I kept them the same such as: Node.js, JavaScript, OpenSSL, API, libuv,….
