Visiting the Tulum ruins [Eng-Esp]

Hello friends, today I want to share with you these photos of a wonderful trip I made to the Mayan Riviera, specifically to the ruins of Tulum.

As many know, Mexico is a place full of archaeological remains, in fact there is a joke among Mexicans that any hill is a pyramid covered with soil and vegetation, perhaps it may seem an exaggeration, but many pyramids have been discovered like this, buried under hills, especially in the Mayan jungle.

Precisely, the area where the Mayas settled is one of the most incredible and famous in the Mexican Republic. This archaeological site I am sharing with you is Mayan and is located in the southeast of Mexico, in the city of Tulum, near Cancun and the famous Chichén-Itzá.

It is one of my favorite ruins (of those I have visited) because it is located by the sea, which, for me, makes it very special and gives it an extra attraction. Besides the fact that the sea that bathes its shores is the Caribbean Sea and having grown up in Venezuela it brings back memories of the beaches I grew up on and miss so much, plus its waters are a truly beautiful color.

This archaeological site is very crowded, as it is one of the most famous in the region, even internationally, despite that I had a great time and it was a very pleasant walk, although it was quite hot and the sun was incredibly strong, but that is typical of the summer months in the Riviera Maya.

Hola amigos, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes estas fotos de un maravilloso viaje que hice a la Rivera Maya, en específico a las ruinas de Tulum.

Como muchos saben, México, es un lugar lleno de vestigios arqueológicos, de hecho hay una broma entre los mexicanos de que cualquier cerro es una pirámide cubierta de tierra y vegetación, quizás pueda parecer una exageración, pero muchas pirámides han sido descubiertas así, enterradas bajo cerros, sobre todo en la selva Maya.

Precisamente, la zona donde se asentaron los Mayas es una de las más increíbles y famosas dentro de la República mexicana. Esta zona arqueológica que les comparto es Maya y se encuentra ubicada en el sureste mexicano, en la ciudad de Tulum, cerca de Cancún y de la famosísima Chichén-Itzá.

Es una de mis Ruinas favoritas (de las que he visitado) porque se encuentra a la orilla del mar, lo que, para mí, la hace muy especial y le da un atractivo extra. Además de que el mar que baña sus costas es el mar Caribe y habiendo crecido en Venezuela me trae el recuerdo de las playas en las que crecí y que tanto extraño, además de que sus aguas son de un color verdaderamente precioso.

Esta zona arqueológica es muy concurrida, ya que es una de las famosas de la región, incluso a nivel internacional, a pesar de eso la pasé muy bien y fue un paseo bastante agradable, aunque hacía bastante calor y el sol estaba increíblemente fuertes, pero eso es típico de los meses veraniegos en la Rivera Maya.

Espero que disfruten las fotos y que se animen a visitar ese pequeño paraíso caribeño conocido como Tulum.
