El circuito de Jeddah nos trajo un momento angustiante durante la clasificación del Gran Premio de Arabia Saudita. Era algo que en cualquier momento se veía venir en un circuito con estas características.

El piloto alemán, Mick Schumacher, hijo de Michael, tuvo un accidente muy fuerte contra las barreras de la curva 11. El auto salió disparado contra el muro opuesto luego de que Mick cometiera un error de conducción que le hizo perder el control del monoplaza.

Pero más allá de su error, el cual pudo haber cometido cualquier piloto, habría que preguntarse ¿Es este circuito demasiado peligroso?

Este circuito nos recuerda a Suzuka pero con los muros de Mónaco. Estas curvas de alta velocidad y muros muy cerac de los autos son una mezcla peligrosa. Esto nos hace preguntarnos porqué la FIA autorizó este circuito.

La seguridad en la Fórmula 1 es más alta que nunca, los autos y barreras están hechos para proteger al piloto al máximo posible. Pero aún así, un circuito como este puede dejarnos dudas.

Es por esto que una opción para reducir el riesgo de este circuito, y a la vez fomentar los adelantamientos y el espectáculo, es modificar el trazado del circuito, en base al especio disponible. En el próximo video mostraré qué modificaciones yo introduciría, bajo mi criterio, para lograr esto.
