No rhyme or reason...

Sometimes we take shots for no good reason
other than the fact we liked how it looked

(Isn't it always?)

A certain look, a certain something...
A mood, or ambience... something pleasant... it made you smile,
maybe the colour

Or it reminded us of something... something...
at the back of our minds.... we can't actually put a finger on it...

We just like it

Well, here in monochrome, colour isn't a factor
So, we are left with the other 'somethings'...

Texture mood angle composition

feathery soft
swaying in the breeze...
delicate
fields of summer
wild

ripples... of reflection
connection
one affects the other
dark water

raw wood
texture
circles going round and round, cracks
stacked orderly
neatly

single flower
imperfections
water droplets enhance
curves curved

stark startling
tippy tips
reaching out upwardly
seeking sunlight
against the dark
