What is true love?

Love is generally defined as a strong feeling of affection for a person or a thing. It is also generally accepted that there are different types of love such as agape, stoge, eros, etc. However, the big question that remains unaswered is: what really is true love? In my opinion, true love goes beyong a strong feeling of affection. It basically has to do with DECISION AND DEDICATION. When you truly love a person for instance, you must decide to be dedicated to the person nothwithstanding the person's shortcomings. True love is selfless and sacrificial, it puts the other's inteterest ahead of one's interest.
Feelings of the heart do wane especially with time, but when you take a decision, you do so with your heart and head. The foregoing is anchored on selflessness, it has everything but plenty of self-benefits. If you truly love a person, you decide to accept and condole the person's squalid attributes. True love is unconditional!
