THE LAST LEAF
One of the tree's large roots stretched all the way to my house. I was staring at the last leaves clinging to that root. The tree had largely shed its leaves, with only a few remaining. I was lost in thought, but my friend called out to me, and I had to go get the ball.
Then, after that, we went to the village, and when we returned from the break, I saw that all the leaves on the tree had fallen, but one leaf was still there. I wanted to touch that leaf, and as I did, the wind blew, and the last leaf fell onto my hand. It was a dry, withered leaf. I felt like it was meant to fall for me. As if it was waiting for me to see it fall. Anyway, now when I think about all this, I laugh at my childhood thoughts. As if a leaf would wait for me to fall from the tree!
