LeoGlossary: Tokenomics

The economics of a distributed ledger technology (DLT) based coin or token. This will reside at the base layer of a blockchain, either in the original code or through a smart contract.

Aspects of tokenomics are:

• inflation rate
• total units produced
• token production reduction
• decimal points
• beginning circulating supply

Coins that are in the base code are harder to change since a hard fork is required to implement any updates.
