LeoGlossary: Blogging

Basically this is the idea of self publishing online.

With the introduction of the Internet, many applications appeared that put control of publishing in the hands of content creators. Many people consider blogging to be long form content. However, it can take on many different faces.

We have:

• microblogging
• photos
• video (vlogging)
• audio

The original idea came from the idea of an online diary which was updated on a daily basis. Over time, that transformed where many website incorporate blogs. We also see businesses us blogging as a way to gain interest of customers and announce net products or services.

It all all part of the social media realm where parties can interact using two-way communication.
