Without purpose, web businesses lose direction. You end up reacting to numbers. You create articles that give excellent information about topics, but the articles do not relate properly together. This creates confusion with your visitors. Because you are not sure why you attract those visitors, you give nothing for them beyond the article they find first. They do not want to sign-up to your newsletter. They do not want to return.

Even before you build your website, you are hugely disadvantaged without a clear purpose. You cannot be sure your rewards will be adequate, or your chosen market be the one that suits you best.
